Sexual Predator Hunter Teams in the UK have come in for much criticism in recent years. I am looking to prove the efficacy of the Teams in comparison to the efforts of UK Police Services and British judicial systems.
My intention is to accumulate data from Teams and Police Services across the UK and then to publish my findings in the Press. My hypothesis is that the Teams have been (proportionally) more effective than the aforementioned official bodies.
I have a work history in data analysis and completed a social sciences degree, with all elements social work related.
For many years now I have viewed online video uploads of Predator Hunter Groups and have come to the decision I would like to contribute to the field with academic and analytical approaches. This will be achieved by using the best of my skill-set to determine Teams' effectiveness in comparison to official bodies.
In addition, I am interested in the variances between prosecution rates and sentences awarded by individual constabularies.
No matter the outcome of my findings, I hope the data will prove beneficial in the quest to reduce and if not eliminate predatory behaviours both online and in person.
I am completing the research with no financial support. I have set up a "GoFundMe" account should any individual wish to contribute, so as to assist me in paying for such things as Freedom of Information requests, web services and other administrative costs.
Many thanks.
Ian
